North Carolina Winery Tour

Included in your winery tour:

• Round trip transportation from your location (additional travel fee applies for locations more than 10 miles from downtown Asheville).
• Tastings at two wineries.

Not included in the winery tour:

• Food: you are welcome to bring your own lunch/snacks or we’re happy to provide a delicious box lunch, charcuterie box, or luxury picnic for an additional fee. Some wineries also have a food truck or restaurant on site depending on the season.
• Driver/Guide Gratuity: gratuity is never obligatory but is appreciated. Another great way to show gratitude for your guide is to leave a review on TripAdvisor, Google, or Yelp and mention him/her by name.

The short answer is that it depends! Factors that might influence the itinerary are special events at specific vineyards, seasonal closures, your preferences, and more. Our classic tours focus on wineries and craft beverages in Henderson County. Your tour typically includes three of the following (actual combination depends on the day/season/group size).

We’ll come to you! Winery Tours for private groups include round trip transportation from your accommodations. Note that locations more than 10 miles from downtown Asheville incur an additional travel fee at a rate of $25 per additional 10 miles.

Absolutely! Our private winery tours can be reserved for solo adventurers or groups as large as….well, the sky is nearly the limit. For parties of 1-5, the price is $930 total. This includes approximately 5hrs of private transportation and tastings at two of your three stops.

Not to be dramatic, but we recommend booking as soon as possible, especially if your desired date is between May – October or falls on a Saturday. Those dates sell out several months in advance while Mon-Thurs and Sundays tend to be more open, especially if you’re visiting within a month or two. Please don’t let that deter you from reaching out though! We will always do what we can to accommodate and are happy to work with you.

Note that all guests partaking in tastings must be 21+

Full group cancellations more than 14 days in advance of your scheduled experience are refundable minus a $25/person administrative fee plus any fees charged by our local partners. Out of respect for the guide’s time, full group cancellations from 14-0 days prior to your scheduled service are non-refundable.

Group size decreases will be accepted up to 72hrs prior to your scheduled experience with no penalty as long as minimum group size thresholds are met. Out of respect for your guide’s time, group size decreases between 72-0 hours prior to your scheduled experience are non-refundable and no store credits will be issued within that window.

Your role: If you feel ill, are experiencing Covid-related symptoms, or have been in contact with a person with a confirmed case of Covid 19 in the past two weeks, please stay home and let us know as soon as possible. Our stated cancellation policy will still apply. If you are concerned about the risks of last minute cancellation, please consider taking out travel insurance.

These policies ensure all experience providers, guides, instructors, etc are paid a living wage for their work. Thank you for your understanding as we strive to remain as flexible as possible!

Plan on approximately 5 hours door to door for the classic tour (longer if your location is more than 10 miles from downtown Asheville). The upgraded Tryon area tour takes a minimum of 6 hours. We don’t want you to feel rushed so let us know ASAP if you have dinner/evening plans and we can advise from there.
