Covid Considerations

Your safety and the safety of our instructors and community is of the utmost importance. To that end, we’ve taken a close look at our policies and procedures and have updated protocols for each tour, service, and experience we offer.

The following points are specific to Private Group Yoga:

1Possible locations for practice in Asheville

Wondering where to practice? We can meet you nearly anywhere! Here are some of the most commonly chosen locations for a private group yoga class in Asheville:

  • At your vacation rental or home. Bonus points if there is sufficient space to practice outdoors (ie: on an open-air porch, in the yard, etc).
  • In a local park
  • At the Botanical Gardens (near downtown Asheville, please add a $50 donation per group, pending availability)
  • At a local studio (final location depends on availability, please add $50 studio rental fee)

Have another space in mind? Let us know! We’d love to practice with you in Asheville.

2Social Distancing

Social distancing is a breeze in outdoor spaces. Our instructors are a friendly bunch but will refrain from hugging, hand shaking, or getting close unless necessary (injury, first aid, etc). If you are in a public space (park, Botanical Gardens) and encounter other folks, please adjust if necessary to allow plenty of space for folks to move around you. Enjoy the spaciousness!

3Yoga Mats

For the time being, we recommend that you bring your own mat, blanket, sheet, or towel for yoga practice. This is for your comfort and for the safety of our instructors. We do, however, have thoroughly sanitized mats available upon request with advance notice.

INDOORS: masks are required at all times if practicing indoors.

OUTDOORS: We do not require face coverings for outdoor experiences though you may want to bring one in case distancing is not possible.

Note that face coverings are mandated in public commercial spaces in Buncombe County. If you’re visiting from out of town, make sure to pack one!

5Your Role

We’re committed to doing our part to care for our employees, community, and guests and we cannot do it alone. As part of our shared responsibility, we expect you to: communicate clearly with us regarding any health concerns you may have; if you feel ill, have Covid related symptoms, or have recently cared for someone with Covid-19, please stay home and alert us 24hrs or more in advance when possible (we will issue you a refund in full); be patient with, understanding, and supportive of new procedures in place. These policies are meant to keep all involved as safe as possible and to support our business in remaining open!

1What Type Of Yoga Do You Offer?

We work with only the best yoga instructors in Asheville.  Your private class can be crafted to fit your groups needs!  We can plan a warming flow class or restful restorative practice.

2Do You Provide The Props?

Your instructor will provide thoroughly sanitized mats for your use. You may also use your own mat, towel, or blanket for practice. We do not provide props such as straps, blocks, bolsters, etc, but your instructor will absolutely help you get creative with the supplies you have on hand and will offer modifications to asanas along the way.

3Who Is My Yoga Teacher?

All instructors hold a minimum 200hr yoga certification and a passion for wellness. Consider your instructor a resource! They love to chat about unique approaches to wellness and have allllll the recommendations for what to do around town.

4Can I practice while pregnant?

Absolutely! All of our instructors have prenatal yoga training and will offer modifications.

5How far in advance should I book?

Though we can often accommodate last minute requests, we recommend reserving your group yoga class at least 2 weeks in advance when possible…especially if you have a tight schedule. Our busiest days are Saturdays and the busiest season is March – October.
Definitely don’t let that discourage you last-minute-getaway-adventurers out there, though! Our team is large and we’re all passionate about sharing this practice with you. We’ll do what we can to accommodate… always!

6What is the cancellation policy?

Private, In-Person Classes: Full group cancellations more than 72 hrs prior to your scheduled experience are refundable minus a $5/person admin fee or you may choose a store credit for 100% of your purchase price. Out of respect for the instructor’s time, cancellations between 0-72 hrs prior to your scheduled class are non-refundable.

NOTE: If individual members of your party need to cancel due to Covid, we will refund that group member in full provided minimums thresholds for group size are met (ie: a minimum of $150 is charged for a private yoga class). These minimums ensure all experience providers, guides, instructors, etc are paid a living wage for their work. Thank you for your understanding as we strive to be as flexible as possible.

Virtual Classes: Cancellations more than 72 hours in advance of your scheduled class are refundable minus a $25/group administrative fee. Out of respect for the instructor’s time, cancellations from 72 – 0 hours prior to your scheduled class are non-refundable.
