Experience the healing power of nature therapy
The practice of forest bathing encourages you to slow down, relax and reconnect with nature by quieting the mind and awakening the senses.
Join a certified forest therapy guide for a relaxing 2.5-hour stroll through the forest in our stunning Blue Ridge Mountains. Through a series of invitations, you’ll have the opportunity to be present in the moment, deepening your connection with nature and community, and enjoying the many gifts nature has to offer. The walk culminates in a tea ceremony with snacks.
What is Forest Bathing?
Forest Bathing is simply a guided walk in nature. Your guide will share mindfulness practices and invitations designed to connect you more deeply to your inner landscapes, as well as the world around you. Inspired by Shinrin-Yoku, the Japanese art of immersing oneself in a forest environment, forest bathing walks invite guests to spend time in nature in a way that invites healing for ourselves, our fraught ecosystems, and our community. It is true nature therapy!
This is essentially a mindful, rejuvenating walk in the forest…no actual “bathing” required 😉
Private & Public Walks Available!
Public walks are available on Saturdays. You can also reserve a private walk any day of the week, set aside exclusively for you and your group…even if you’re a solo adventurer! Enjoy a unique way to practice self care and social distancing.
Private Forest Bathing Tour Price:
- $260 total for parties of 1-4
- $65/person for parties of 5+
- $49/person for parties of 10+

What Will I Do?
With the help of a certified guide, guests are led through a series of nature invitations during a leisurely walk on a gentle trail or pathway. The experience typically lasts two to three hours and culminates in a tea ceremony with snacks.
What Should I Bring?
Bring sun protection, bug repellent, water, an open heart and mind and anything else you need to be comfortable on this short, gentle trail. Comfortable, close-toed shoes are encouraged and be sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing. Layers are your key to comfort and rain protection is always encouraged. Please remember that temperatures in higher elevations can be significantly lower than in town and rain is always a possibility. We will provide yoga mats for anyone who feels uncomfortable sitting on the ground.
Do I Need a Bathing Suit to Participate in Forest Bathing?
Nope! We’ll be immersing ourselves in the restorative forest atmosphere and aren’t bathing in the traditional rubber-ducky-in-the-bathtub sense. On warm days, we might have the opportunity to dip our feet in a mountain stream and a rain shower is always possible.
Who Is My Guide?
Kelly Bruce has been exploring the mountains of Western North Carolina for more than 30 years and loves adventuring with her two dogs and 1960 Airstream in tow. Journalism has been the focus of her career; however, her true passion is spending time in nature and inspiring people to get outside and explore. Kelly is certified as a forest therapy guide by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, and a certified interpretive guide with the National Association for Interpretation. She holds current certifications in Wilderness First Aid and CPR. Kelly looks forward to sharing forest bathing with those in the Asheville area.

Your safety and the safety of our guides and community is of the utmost importance. To that end, we’ve taken a close look at our policies and procedures and have updated protocols for each tour, service, and experience we offer.
The following points are specific to Forest Bathing:
Private Walks Available:
Concerned about joining a public walk? No worries! Private hikes for groups of 4+ (or a flat fee of $260 for smaller groups) are available daily pending guide availability.
Meet At The Trail Head:
No need to worry about being in enclosed transportation with folks outside of your household. All parties arrive separately and meet at the trail head.
Social distancing is a breeze in outdoor spaces. Our guides are a friendly bunch but will refrain from hugging, hand shaking, or getting close unless necessary (injury, first aid, etc). If you encounter other folks on the trail, the guide will encourage the group to step to the side, allowing plenty of room for other hikers to pass. You’ll find plenty of room to spread out throughout the experience and group sharing sessions, if held, will take place with all participants spread 6′ or more apart. Enjoy the spaciousness!
Cloth Face Coverings:
We do not require cloth face coverings for outdoor experiences that are conducive to social distancing practices. Please do feel free to bring a face covering if you feel more comfortable having one on hand. For private groups, if you prefer that your guide wear a face covering, please let us know in advance. We are happy to respect your wishes.
Forest Bathing does not require the use of any equipment. If you wish to bring a small towel, yoga mat, or light outdoor cushion for sitting throughout the experience, please feel free but this is not necessary. The end of each walk traditionally culminates with a tea ceremony. We encourage you to bring your own tea for this portion of the experience or elect to skip it.
We’re committed to doing our part to care for our employees, community, and guests and we cannot do it alone. As part of our shared responsibility, we expect you to: communicate clearly with us regarding any health concerns you may have; if you feel ill, have Covid related symptoms, or have recently cared for someone with Covid-19, please stay home and alert us 24hrs or more in advance when possible (we will issue you a refund in full); be patient with, understanding, and supportive of new procedures in place. These policies are meant to keep all involved as safe as possible and to support our business in remaining open!

I found this concierge service & am so thankful. While planning my best friend's bachelorette party, I knew what she would like but did not know how to put it all together.
